Who we are
This site is operated by Juvara Law, with offices at 1270 Avenue of the Americas, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10020. You can reach us at contact@juvaralaw.com or +1 (978) 252-3570.
What we collect
When you complete the contact form we collect the name, email address, telephone number, company and description of your matter that you provide. You choose what to put in that last field, and we ask you not to send confidential documents before we have replied.
When you browse the site we collect standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from. This comes from cookies and similar technology, described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information through this site. If your matter involves it, tell us in general terms and we will arrange a secure way to discuss it.
Why we hold it
To respond to your inquiry and assess whether we can act for you. To carry out conflict checks, which we are required to do before accepting a matter. To operate and improve the site. To meet our own legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping requirements that apply to attorneys.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
Service providers who host the site, deliver our email and provide analytics, each acting on our instructions and under contract.
Other counsel, but only where you have asked us to refer your matter or where a matter requires local counsel and you have agreed.
Courts, regulators or other parties where we are legally required to disclose.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become matters are held for 24 months and then deleted. Where we accept a matter, the file is retained under the record-keeping obligations that apply to attorneys in the relevant jurisdiction, which is generally longer.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Where deletion would conflict with a legal or professional obligation we will tell you and explain why.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you rights to know what we collect and why, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right to know, delete and correct all apply. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
To make a request, email contact@juvaralaw.com with enough detail for us to identify you. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No website transmission is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send confidential documents through the contact form before we have established a secure channel.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We update this policy when our practice changes. The date below shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be flagged on this page.
